Pre-School Wrap-Around Program

 

Personal Message from our Director:

Our program provides a nurturing environment where learning is experienced and fostered through teacher directed lessons, play, and enrichment activities.  Daily lessons are specially designed in collaboration with your child’s Pre-School or Pre-K teacher. 

In partnership, our team of teachers will reinforce developing skills to build upon their social, emotional, intellectual, and physical growth.  Our program of study includes instruction to build upon concepts in literacy, math, science, and social studies. 

Children will also have an opportunity to stimulate their imagination with role-playing games, explore language through music, and discover creative arts.  I look forward to working closely with your child and family!
 

Hours of Operation

Monday – Friday*         7:30 AM - 8:30 AM (starting September  2013)
                                                and
                                     11:00 AM to 6:00 PM ( as of Sept. 2012)
 
*Please refer to our school calendar for holiday scheduling throughout the school year.  Please also note the Pre-School & Pre-K Wrap –Around Program will meet on early dismissal  days of school.

Teaching Philosophy & Enrichment Activities

Our wrap-around program teaching philosophy is to use multiple approaches(visual, auditory, hands on, and movement) to learning which will allow children to work up to their potential.  Daily lessons include teacher directed activities in literacy, math, science, and social studies.

Children will have supervised opportunities to learn through play each day in learning centers and enrichment activities.  These centers include: dramatic play (home living), blocks, science, math manipulatives, classroom library, writing, and creative arts.  Learning centers reinforce the importance of fine and gross motor skills, imagination, problem solving, as well as socialization.

Enrichment Activities

Throughout the day children are able to participate in enrichment activities.  These activities include: literacy based activities through creative arts, computer technology, dance and movement, music and songs.  The enrichment games and activities allow children to reinforce skills, sample new interests, and gain self-confidence as a life-long learner.     

Registration 

Our wrap-around program is available to children attending our preschool program.  There is a registration form to complete for registration and a registration fee.  Please contact the school office at (585)586-6968 for registration purposes and for more information about our Pre-School Wrap Around Program.
