First Lego League

FLL Teams: The Brainstormers I and II (Founded 2010, Second team added 2011)

Founded by Pre-K teacher Joan Doyle and with the help of numerous parent and alumni volunteer mentors, St. Joseph School fourth-, fifth- and sixth-graders use their minds and imaginations to build and program a robot to compete in the FIRST LEGO League every September through December.

FIRST is an acronym for For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology, and the competition is a three-part event that enables the students to apply real-world math and science concepts while learning critical thinking and team-building concepts.  Lean more about FIRST at www.usFIRST.org.
