School Uniform Requirements for Kindergarten through Grade 6

Please note that the new school uniform (plain oxford shirts) and new school logo gym shirts, sweatshirts will be phased in for one more year.  Old sweatshirts, gym shirts and golf (polo) shirts from past year that are still servicable may be worn.
 
Uniforms are required for all students in grades K-6 for regular class days and a gym uniform for physical education class.  Students must adhere to the school uniform code. 

On occasion, students will be invited to participate in out-of-uniform days.  Parents are encouraged to monitor what their children wear to school.  We wish to provide opportunities for the students to dress casually but not inappropriately.  A written communication from the principal will be sent to parents to verify that a particular day will be dress-down day. 

Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, etc. may wear their scouting uniforms to school on scout meeting days.
 

Details:

 Girls: 

• School Plaid jumper, K-4 and school plaid kilt skirt for gr. 5 and 6
• Navy blue dress pants (twill or cord)
• Walking shorts or navy skorts (September: May 1 - June)
• White blouse, (long or short sleeve; regular with round or pointed  collar or oxford)  – any time
• White turtleneck during colder months: optional; may wear blouse    All shirts must be tucked in.
• Navy blue sweater or school imprinted sweatshirt
• Navy or white ankle, knee socks or tights (no golf socks-must cover ankles)
• Shoes or sneakers (dark colors or white only)

  Boys:

• Navy blue dress pants (twill or cord)
• Navy blue walking shorts (September: May 1 - June)
• Light blue oxford shirt (long or short sleeve) – any time, must be tucked in.
• Light blue turtleneck during colder months: optional; may wear oxford, must be tucked in.
• Navy blue sweater or school imprinted sweatshirt
• Navy blue or white ankle socks (no golf socks-must cover ankles)
• Shoes or sneakers (dark colors or white only)

Gym Uniform Information:

 Boys & Girls:      

• Navy school imprinted T-shirt
• Navy blue mesh shorts - September, May, June only: shorts may be worn to school w/out sweatpants.  All other months, gym sweatshirt and sweatpants must be worn over the gym uniform to school
• Navy blue imprinted sweatshirt and navy blue sweatpants.

 Kindergarten and Grade 6 may wear their class t-shirts for gym.

Notes about Accessories:

• Fad sneakers, shoes or backless footwear are not permissible.  No sandals.
• Girls may not wear dangling earrings.  Boys may not wear earrings.
• Jewelry (limited to medals and crosses) should not be worn on physical education days.
• Hair Style:
  • Girls: simple, neat, only coordinating headbands allowed
  • Boys: simple, neat, not below the collar
  • Dyed hair, shaved heads (partial or whole), any extremes in cut are not permissible.
