2004 Soup Day - Lenten Observance

Students and their families were asked to participate in our Soup Day Lenten sacrifice by bringing in assigned foods to make vegetable soup and parents volunteering to prepare the soup. Students and teachers prepared special Lenten placemats including scripture quotes.  Prior to lunch, everyone joined in a prayer service and then students reflected on making sacrifices as they ate their lunch of soup, bread, crackers and milk.  The event hopefully provided a better understanding for people in need.
